Background - In 2017 Intersoft worked with one of it’s retail client to develop a mobile suite of applications in the retail domain and market which is already being served by the web applications. The client was looking at multiple platform support approach to ensure the cost effectiveness of the solution without losing the benefits across each platform along with performance.
Solution - Intersoft evaluated multiple frameworks like PhoneGap and Apache Cordova. Intersoft also evaluated Microsoft Xamarin and concluded on the platform because of the web and services applications being natively on Web API2 and Xamarin was a very stable and mature solution with integration for not only Xamarin Forms but, native iOS or Android or Windows based device dependent features development like Camera or Contacts integration.
